Live the Dream Class

DREAM ON! WORKSHOP

Description

In this workshop, using creative methods and materials to capture and explore your dreams, we will focus upon the energetic liveliness arising from 'you at their centre'.

*Please note this class is NOT based on or connected in any way to popular dream interpretation symbols or themes.

As we work together with creative materials, I will support you to gain insight and self-awareness based on your dreams. I will using a Gestalt approach, honouring the place dreamwork has had throughout the psychological studies of last century, particularly drawing inspiration from the work of Freud, Adler and Perls in this area:

  • Freud - who believed dreams comprised of both latent and manifest content; manifest being the material of the dream, and latent being the client's underlying life themes hidden within their unconscious.
  • Adler - who discovered that even our 'made-up' dreams were relevant to our deeper life themes and experience
  • Perls - who worked predominently in the present moment with dreams, staying creative and in dialogical contact with his clients, neither interpreting them, analysing them, nor focussing on their content - instead focusing on the the client's process and with what emerged for them in the present moment.

If you enjoy self-exploration, working creatively and would like to focus on your potential for growth and wellbeing, this workshop contains much in the way of experiential opportunities for doing so.
